The village is compact and centered on the country club area, with larger lots and a good share of custom-built homes rather than repeated builder plans. Practically, that means every estimate here is measured rather than pattern-matched. There is no standard Lakewood floor plan to lean on.
Larger homes bring taller interior spaces: two-story foyers, open stairwells, great rooms with high windows. Those need staging or lifts, and access is a real line item. It is one of the honest reasons a Lakewood interior costs more than the same square footage spread over one floor elsewhere.
