Our content originally began as a way to help more people discover D'Franco. It grew into something much more useful: a way to answer customer questions even when we are not available to answer the phone. Our approach is heavily influenced by the idea that trust is built by answering the questions buyers are actually asking, including questions about cost, problems, comparisons, reviews, who may or may not be a good fit, and what can go wrong. We sometimes describe our approach as wanting to be the "CarMax of the painting industry": upfront information, clear expectations, useful pricing guidance, and no need for old-school sales games.

Before publishing or materially updating important educational content, we aim to follow a practical five-part process:

• Start with a real homeowner or business-owner question.
• Use firsthand project experience, job-site observations, product documentation, manufacturer information, and other appropriate sources.
• Have technical claims reviewed by David Cook or an experienced member of the D'Franco team when appropriate.
• Explain the answer in plain language, including limitations, problems, price factors, and alternatives rather than only promoting D'Franco.
• Review important content periodically and update it when pricing, products, methods, or other material facts change.

D'Franco has been professionally involved in painting and decorating work since 2005. Our work includes residential and commercial painting, wallpaper installation and removal, cabinet refinishing, drywall preparation and repair, specialty coatings, and related finishing work. Our team's experience also includes professional training and manufacturer or industry education in areas such as cabinet finishing, coatings, surface preparation, and specialty finishes. Where we mention a credential, preferred-vendor relationship, certification, award, or manufacturer training, we aim to describe it accurately and avoid implying credentials we have not earned.

Prices published on our website are intended to help buyers understand realistic ranges and the factors that drive cost. They are not guaranteed quotes. We update important pricing content as labor, materials, project conditions, and our own operating costs change.

We regularly discuss products and brands we use or have experience with, including paint, primers, coatings, wallpaper products, tools, and equipment. A recommendation reflects our experience and opinion at the time the content is published or updated. Product specifications and manufacturer instructions should always be checked for the specific application.

Technology, including AI tools, may be used to help organize ideas, research topics, edit drafts, summarize information, or improve readability. David entered the trade professionally in 2005 after an airbrushing and mural hobby grew into residential painting and decorating work. His experience includes painting, wallpaper, cabinet refinishing, coatings, and helping homeowners understand the practical choices behind their projects.
